This short chronicles filmmaker Nyla Innuksuk’s emotional journey to Nunavut to connect with the land of her ancestors and with her Inuit father, whom she has not seen in over 20 years. Stories from Our Land Vol. 2 – Taking Shape (2013 | 10 min), by Sarah McNair-Landry

Isaci Itodli is well known in the Arctic for his pedigree and prowess in shaping the old rocks, often telling taboo stories and myths of the Inuit through his creations.

Stories from Our Land 1.5: Family Making Sleds (2012 | 5 min), by Rosie Bonnie Ammaaq

A man threads rope through runners and slats, expertly tying the knots that hold them together. Meanwhile, a woman and her child cut up cardboard, shaping and decorating the pieces to create their own stylized sleds. Family Making Sleds is an homage to the skill of building sleds that also captures the sheer joy of using them to race downhill.
